Union Baptist Grammar School Ilorin, is a Christian Mission School established on October 3rd, 1994 by the Baptist Associations within Ilorin and her environs. It is a co-educational boarding and day school that is committed to a holistic and qualitative education with emphasis on academic and moral excellence. The school is established on Christ’s solid foundation with the motto “Study to show yourself approved.” II Timothy 2:15.

Our Curriculum
Science
At Union Baptist Grammar School, Science department was created to engender students’ knowledge and understanding of science.
 
The teachers are always geared towards ensuring that science courses are thought both theoretically and practically, so as to ensure students don’t lose interest in the core science courses. Fully equipped Physics, Chemistry and Biology Laboratory are put in place to complement the effort of the well qualified staff members that ensure the proper running of the department.
 
Our Core courses include Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the Senior Secondary Section, while at the Junior Secondary level we have courses such as Basic Science and Basic Technology.
 
Some of the achievements we have recorded over the years includes but not limited to:
 
1. We have recorded 100% pass in Physics and Chemistry
2. We have won medals in so many competitions

In this department we have competent teachers that have taught for year. This should tell you that we have experienced teachers that are ready to impact knowledge into our students.

We provide a creative learning environment, develop artistic skills, and teach values and how to relate with people most especially their fellow students.

The Social Science department plays an important role in preparing students for careers in business, finance and entrepreneurship.

Our subjects such as Financial, Accounting, Commerce, Business Studies, Economics, Home Economics and Catering equip students with practical knowledge and essential skills needed in today’s commercial world.

We are committed to building a strong foundation for students who wish to pursue further studies or excel in the business sector.

The school has a secured result data base platform from a website, a result portal, UTME Coaching and CBT Training.

A varieties of clubs and co-curricular activities such as Press club, JET club and Red Cross are in existence among a plethora of others.
